Better Food Starts with the Farm Bill
Campaign Kick-Off Meeting
Wednesday, January 18th, 7-8pm • Woodmere Library

From the farm to the dinner plate, our food system is crumbling.  Families are struggling to pay their grocery bills.  Small and mid-sized farmers are struggling to feed their own families as they work to feed our communities.  Meanwhile, big Agribusinesses like Monsanto are raking in record profits. Right now, we have a great opportunity to create new food policy that works for consumers, farmers, and the environment.  The Farm Bill, the legislation that determines how food is grown and reaches our plates, is up for review for the first time in 5 years. Our senator, Debbie Stabenow, is the chair of the Agricultural Committee, and so has the power to shape our food policy for the better.  She needs to hear from constituents like us if she is going to stand up to big Agribusiness and promote fair policies for farmers and consumers. Learn how you can be a part of the movement!

Please join us as we kick off our campaign for a Fair Farm Bill in Traverse City.
